Job Summary

Conduct vehicle condition assessments upon delivery by inspecting for damage, missing parts, and mechanical problems across paint, engine, AC/heater, electronics, and tires. Utilize a tablet to document vehicle identification data, condition descriptions, repair cost estimates, and photographs while making recommendations to increase vehicle value. Maintain current knowledge of labor rates, parts charges, and manufacturer updates while adhering to workplace safety procedures. Provide sale day assistance including lane coordination, vehicle relocation, and starting or jumping vehicles. Requires ASE or ICAR certifications, valid driver's license, and ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • ASE and/or ICAR certifications
  • background in automotive repair

  • Ability to multitask
  • Organization and follow-up skills
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission
  • Reasonable computer skills
  • ability to use a mobile computer device
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach and kneel
  • Valid in-state driver's license
  • acceptable, safe driving record

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous body shop experience
