CQA Technician

Job Summary
Perform construction quality assurance inspections for Solid Waste, Environmental, and Civil projects, including soils testing, compaction analysis, and piping system observations. Read engineering plans and technical specifications to verify project compliance, coordinate with geotechnical laboratories, and monitor on-site contractors for deviations. Create daily field reports and testing documentation while communicating timelines with project managers and clients. During periods without field work, assist with AutoCAD drafting, surveying, and engineering support services. This full-time role requires year-round fieldwork and independent judgment to ensure project specifications and standards are met.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (Technical subject) preferred
- ~1–3 years of relevant experience including soils and geosynthetics CQA
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with AutoCAD or other drafting software is preferred
- Willingness to perform fieldwork year-round, potentially for extended durations
- Ability to work with a strong technical team, represent and communicate with the Client
- Ability to work cooperatively with Contractors
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good written and oral communications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize work demands to meet deadlines while exercising independent judgment and working independently
