Job Summary
Operate CPT, MIP, HPT, and UVOST systems while performing equipment setup, calibration, maintenance, and minor repairs. Conduct pre-trip inspections, establish control zones, and collect field data with accuracy. Follow all company and site-specific safety policies, including rigorous DOT regulations and random drug/alcohol testing. Prepare and break down drilling sites, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. This physically active role involves lifting 30+ pounds, working outdoors in all weather conditions, and standing for long periods. Requires extensive travel and willingness to work daily and weekly overtime up to 12 hours. Gregg Drilling, a subsidiary of Sealaska, supports environmental and geotechnical investigations across California.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Class A or B driver's license
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 30+ pounds throughout the day
- Ability to pass a yearly physical
- Ability to pass random drug/alcohol tests
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years environmental drilling experience
- Experience with MIP (Membrane Interface Probe) systems
- Ability to withstand long periods of standing
- Ability to work daily and weekly overtime doing physical labor
- Ability to work up to 12 hours per day
- Ability to bend and twist
- Ability to move within confined space
- Ability to maneuver in small areas
- Ability to wear protective and safety equipment
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to work on uneven and slippery outdoor surfaces
- Compliance with DOT regulations
