Job Summary
Operate CPT, MIP, HPT, and UVOST systems while performing equipment setup, calibration, maintenance, and minor repairs. Conduct pre-trip inspections, establish control zones, and collect field data with accuracy. Follow all company and site-specific safety policies, including rigorous DOT regulations, random drug/alcohol testing, and physical clearance requirements. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, lifting 30+ pounds daily, and perform other duties as assigned. This hands-on field role supports environmental and geotechnical investigations across California for Gregg Drilling, a subsidiary of Sealaska.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Class A or B driver's license
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 30+ pounds throughout the day
- Ability to pass a yearly physical
- Ability to pass random drug/alcohol tests
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years environmental drilling experience
- Experience with MIP (Membrane Interface Probe) systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform physical labor, shoveling, drilling debris, and transporting materials using ergonomically correct lifting techniques
- Ability to withstand long periods of standing
- Ability to work daily and weekly overtime doing physical labor (up to 12 hours per day)

- Verification of eligibility through the DOT Clearinghouse
- Feedback from previous employers regarding any prior accidents, failed drug or alcohol tests, or other relevant pre-employment information related to safety-sensitive functions
