CPR Education Instructor I, Bilingual

Job Summary
Conduct bilingual CPR education and perinatal health instruction for new and expectant parents using established curriculum and individualized learning strategies. Assess participant expectations and learning needs systematically while planning educational materials and creating an environment that promotes positive staff interactions. Teach professionally in both English and Spanish, distinguishing between personal beliefs, hospital policies, and scientific facts. Evaluate participant comprehension continuously, answer questions, and adjust teaching approaches accordingly while maintaining safety standards. Operate within departmental policies and remain current on hospital procedures, general information, and expertise. Work 9AM-5PM shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
- Must pass the bilingual fluency assessment
- S. or B.A. degree in Education, related health field, or a national or international certification in area of expertise
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
Desired Qualifications
- Certified as an American Heart Association BLS instructor
- Must become certified within probationary period when teaching CPR
- Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge in the use of audiovisual equipment
- Prior clinical and adult education experience
