Job Summary
Build and maintain product configuration models using internal tools like Magic Tool and Frontier/FRN platforms to translate business and engineering requirements into rules, validations, and dynamic behavior. Configure model options, families, select tables, matrices, and color lists while maintaining logic for new and existing products. Partner with product managers, engineers, and internal customers to document requirements, support manufacturing and purchasing operations, and participate in product introduction planning for launches such as Roman shades and power shades. Conduct testing to ensure correct rule execution and troubleshoot configuration defects in production ordering or manufacturing systems. Create and maintain documentation for configuration rules, logic flows, and change logs while following established naming conventions and modeling processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
- Ability to interpret product specifications, BOM structures, and engineering requirements.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage complex rule sets.
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with structured data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in window treatments or other highly configurable product industries.
- Experience with product configuration systems (Frontier 2.2 / 3.2 / 4.2, Magic Tool, PCM, or similar).
- Familiarity with scripting logic, matrices, or rule-driven systems.
- Experience supporting both ordering and manufacturing configuration flows.
- Ability to work with IT teams on integrations, data mapping, or tool enhancements.
