Job Summary
Lead CAAS engagements, oversee staff assignments, onboarding evaluations, and client interactions on complex accounting, bookkeeping, and financial matters. Assist new clients with cleanup of QuickBooks files and provide recommendations for future processing. Provide comprehensive outsourced accounting services including payroll, sales and property taxes, 1099s, and related filings. Complete interim and annual compilations. Review staff work for accuracy and regulatory compliance. Supervise and mentor a team, fostering collaboration. Communicate with Federal, State, and Local tax authorities on behalf of clients. Respond to governmental and non-governmental notices and audits. Participate in training sessions to promote ongoing learning. Ensure adherence to regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Active Certified Public Accountant License
- Ten (10) years experience as an accountant
- Ability to review client records to identify issues needing attention and design workflows to increase efficiency
- Adept in using advanced features of QuickBooks Desktop and Online products
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with others
- Strong communication with Federal, State, and Local tax agencies
- Ability to manage jobs to completion within budgeted hours
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
- Ability to foster professional relationships with partners, employees, clients, and tax authorities
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply complex tax-related documents across states
- Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities
- Experience with payroll, sales tax, property tax, and 1099s
- Experience with interim and annual compilations
- Experience reviewing staff work for accuracy and compliance
