Job Summary
Handle insurance coverage defense litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal, managing first-party and third-party personal auto insurance claims independently. Defend and litigate PIP-related matters, including coverage disputes involving bodily injury, underinsured/underinsured motorist, auto physical damage, rescission, and order of priority issues. Take and defend depositions, argue motions in limine, and conduct trials through verdict while presenting and cross-examining expert and lay witnesses in a fully paperless electronic litigation environment. Work closely with litigation support staff to manage a full caseload. Requires mandatory PIP insurance defense litigation experience, a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, and an active New Jersey Bar license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of civil litigation experience
- Mandatory PIP insurance defense litigation experience — required
- Strong insurance coverage defense background with trial experience through verdict
- Experience handling first-party and/or third-party personal auto insurance claims
- Strong deposition, negotiation, and legal writing skills
- Knowledge of New Jersey discovery rules, trial procedures, and substantive insurance law
- Experience with coverage matters involving rescission and order of priority
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- active New Jersey Bar license in good standing
- 4 days onsite / 1 day remote
- Flexible daily start times
