Job Summary
Conduct field investigations and site inspections within assigned neighborhoods to identify violations of community development standards and deed restrictions. Take photographs, prepare reports, and communicate directly with property owners, contractors, and developers to describe conditions, cite violated sections, and seek voluntary compliance. Initiate follow-up letters and respond to complaints submitted through the Woodlands 311 system while maintaining accurate records in the department database. Utilize a personal vehicle for duties, receiving mileage reimbursement, and read technical documents such as blueprints and building codes. Represent the Covenant Administration Department at public functions and community events to disseminate educational materials.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- One year customer service experience
- Technical ability to understand and interpret surveys, plans and technical specifications
- Valid Texas driver's license
- MS Office proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to provide advice to others outside direct reporting relationships on specific problems or general policies
- Ability to consider different points of view to reach agreement
- Ability to use persuasion to gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas
