Job Summary
Greet residents, assist with boarding and exiting, and conduct pre-ride and daily post-run inspections of the shuttle buses. Transport Willow Landing residents to medical, legal, and community appointments while ensuring passenger safety and adhering to all NYS road rules. Perform basic cleaning after every run, maintain an activity log, and report traffic incidents or accidents immediately to management. Call police for all motor vehicle accidents and document incidents per agency requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe driving record while following program rules and attending required training.
Required Qualifications
- NYS Driver's License
- Clean/satisfactory driving record which is found acceptable by RUPCO auto insurance carrier
- High school diploma
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to follow and respect the rules of the program as designed by management
- Basic computer literacy for checking email and recording hours worked
- Willingness to offer ideas and suggestions to management as part of the program ongoing development
- Maintain driving schedule
- Demonstrate positive work attitudes and habits
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance consistent with agency standards
- Attend all required meetings and training courses for professional growth as scheduled and approved
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to RUPCO Inc.'s programming rules, regulations, and policies
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of customer service experience
- Experience working with young people, seniors, and individuals with disabilities
- Flexibility to modify or alter daily driving assignments as designated by supervisor to best serve the needs of the tenants as appropriate
