Job Summary
Greet residents and assist with boarding and exiting the shuttle bus while ensuring passenger safety and proper use of mobility equipment. Conduct pre-ride and daily vehicle inspections, perform cleaning after each run, and maintain an activity log of mileage and passenger counts. Adhere to all NYS road rules, report traffic incidents and accidents to management immediately, and file police reports for all motor vehicle accidents. Maintain a clean and organized driving schedule, participate in required training, and adhere to RUPCO programming rules. This full-time role offers $21 hourly pay with benefits and flexible hours for transporting Willow Landing residents to medical, legal, and community appointments.
Required Qualifications
- NYS Driver's License
- Clean/satisfactory driving record which is found acceptable by RUPCO auto insurance carrier
- High school diploma
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to follow and respect the rules of the program as designed by management
- Basic computer literacy for checking email and recording hours worked
- Willingness to offer ideas and suggestions to management as part of the program ongoing development
- Maintain driving schedule
- Demonstrate positive work attitudes and habits
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance consistent with agency standards
- Attend all required meetings and training courses for professional growth as scheduled and approved
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to RUPCO Inc.'s programming rules, regulations, and policies
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
