Job Summary
Courtesy Officer responsible for providing a visible security presence to ensure safety of guests, employees, and assets across Denver properties. Duties include patrolling assigned areas, monitoring access points, reporting observations, maintaining daily shift logs, developing positive relations with tenants and visitors, maintaining familiarity with life-safety systems, preparing incident reports, and adhering to security policies. Requires high school diploma or GED, ability to work nights/weekends, strong attention to detail, independent work ethic, and reliable transportation; prior security/military or law enforcement experience and a non-commission license are preferred. Requires willingness to travel within the greater metropolitan area properties and to undergo background check and drug screen; proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of related experience preferred
- Non-Commission license required
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work nights, weekends and/or day shift
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Knowledge of emergency equipment (fire alarm systems, access systems, water risers, valves, electrical circuits)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain logs/reports
- Ability to monitor and patrol facilities and respond to alarms
