Job Summary
Under general direction, the Court Voice Writer records and transcribes court proceedings and prepares certified transcripts using voice writing equipment. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to court reporting, along with proficiency in Computer-Aided Transcription (CAT) and real-time reporting, is essential. The position includes responsibilities such as preparing daily transcripts, maintaining court records, and providing verbatim accounts during court sessions. Candidates must possess a Certified Court Reporter's license and demonstrate the ability to operate voice writing equipment effectively. Experience with legal and technical terminology is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a Certified Court Reporter's license through the use of voice writing, issued by the Court Reporters Board of California
- Some professional court reporting experience is desirable

- Must provide and maintain own reporting and voice writing equipment
- Final candidate will be required to submit to Live Scan Fingerprinting as a condition of employment
