Job Summary
Supervise all court sports play, manage staff hiring and training, and deliver private and group lessons for resort and local guests. Initiate clinics, special events, and junior programming to attract members, while enforcing club rules and ensuring daily facility inspections for safety. Monitor business volume forecasts to plan manpower and costs, coordinate with external associations for off-peak business, and represent the club in state or national events. Maintain excellent service standards and resolve guest complaints.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (AA)
- four-six years related experience as a court sports professional/instruction
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- CPR
- First Aid Certification
- Court Sports Teaching Certification
- Member of Professional Tennis Association
- Ability to read and speak English
- Possess U.S.T.A. rating of 5.0 or better
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
- Frequently stands, walks, uses hands; talks and hears, reaches with hands and arms, climbs, balances; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls
- Occasionally sits
- Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
- Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions
