Job Summary
Armed Court Security Officer responsible for entrance control, roving and stationary posts, escorting court personnel, traffic control, enforcing federal law, and preparing reports. Requires a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of verifiable law enforcement or military-equivalency experience (within the last seven years), valid driver's license, DOJ clearance, and certified law enforcement training; must be 21+ and able to pass drug-screen and background check. Performs duties such as enforcing entry procedures, monitoring security equipment, patrolling courts, escorting individuals, directing traffic, and preserving order in court facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least three (3) calendar years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or its military equivalency (Master-at-Arms, CGPD, Security Forces Specialist, etc.) with all three years within the last seven years
- General ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Valid driver's license from state of residency and safe driving record for the past five years; DOJ clearance
- Graduation from certified Federal, state, county, local or military law enforcement training academy and ability to provide certification as proof
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
