Job Summary
Research Attorney I or II will perform highly responsible and confidential legal work for the Kansas Court of Appeals, reviewing briefs and the underlying case record, researching questions of law, preparing prehearing memoranda based on facts and applicable law, and aiding judges in decision-making. The role may involve working on cases for multiple judges within Chief Judge Warner's Special Unit and conducting additional legal research and providing guidance related to court administration. Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited law school and must be licensed to practice law in Kansas; Attorney II requires at least 2 years of relevant experience.
