Job Summary
Court Conciliator provides mediation, family evaluations, on-call services, expedited differentiated case management conferences, parent coordination, parent education, and guidance to self-represented clients for Conciliation Services at the direction of the Superior Court. Responsible for conducting court-ordered evaluations and interviews, preparing reports and written recommendations, facilitating mediations in various family-law contexts, managing risk and emergencies, and maintaining confidentiality while working with judges, court staff, attorneys, and families in Pinal County.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Behavioral Science or Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited school
- Arizona Driver’s License upon hire; must obtain if new resident within 30 days
- Fingerprint Clearance Card within 90 days of hire
- Completion of a 40-hour mediation training and training in domestic violence and child abuse within one year of hire
- Preferred: licensure by AZ Board of Behavioral Health examiners (social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy) and/or licensed to practice law in Arizona
- Experience in mental health, child welfare, juvenile probation, court/criminal justice, or social services focusing on families/children
