Job Summary
Process case files by initiating filings, reviewing judgments, and preparing warrants, summonses, and garnishments within the automated case management system. Manage financial records by receiving and disbursing monies, reconciling accounts, and generating daily and monthly reports. Provide public assistance via phone, email, or in person to litigants and attorneys while maintaining docket control and queuing electronically filed proceedings. Serve in the courtroom to swear in witnesses, operate sound recording equipment, and enter docket entries reflecting case progress. Create official legal documents, coordinate document flow for court assignments, and resolve technical discrepancies with court personnel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- one year of varied administrative experience performing a wide range of technical office duties
- Basic knowledge of court procedures and policies
- Basic knowledge of legal documents
- laws and legal factors pertaining to the court
- Ability to work independently
