Course Developer & Skills Coach – Service Designer Apprenticeship (Level 6)

Job Summary
Design and develop curriculum content aligned to the Level 6 Service Designer apprenticeship standard; deliver engaging workshops, coaching sessions, and group learning experiences; support learners to apply service design principles within real workplace contexts; monitor learner progress, conduct reviews, and support EPA readiness; collaborate with the Curriculum Innovation Manager and Digital Learning Team to create high-quality learning materials and assets; contribute to standardisation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement; maintain accurate learner records and support compliance. Essential skills include extensive service design/UX knowledge, learning-materials design, coaching, adult-learning principles, user-research methods, journey mapping, prototyping, and systems thinking. GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) required; desirable qualifications include a degree in service design/UX, teaching qualifications, QA/assessment qualifications, and experience delivering apprenticeship standards. The role is remote-first in the UK with occasional in-person meetings in London, and offers dedicated CPD, generous annual leave, and wellbeing support.
Required Qualifications
- Occupational experience in service design, UX, or a related field
- Strong understanding of user research, journey mapping, service blueprinting, prototyping, and systems thinking
- Experience designing learning, curriculum, or training materials
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting professionals in development
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
