Job Summary

Design a 7-module asynchronous online course titled Language Teaching with Technology and AI for secondary world language teachers, contextualized for dual language K-8 through higher education and entrepreneurial settings. Content must apply to Chinese, Korean, Hebrew, and Arabic students, leveraging institutional access to Gemini and CoPilot while balancing technology frameworks with immediate tool application. Deliver the curriculum over a 7-week period in Spring 2027, ensuring alignment with Vermont's practices for accommodating learners with specialized needs. Total compensation is $5,000. Required Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Applied Linguistics, Education, Curriculum and Instruction or a closely related field
  • Experience successfully designing and delivering online asynchronous courses
  • Knowledge of Canvas as a learning management platform
  • Knowledge of and/or readiness and ability to acquire knowledge of Vermont's practices and policies related to accommodating learners with different and specialized learning needs
  • Must be able to work at a computer, either standing or sitting, and access the content of written documents, audio files, and videos
