Job Summary
Course Coordinator responsibilities for GEOG 2P50 include overseeing seminar/tutorial/lab sections for the course; coordinating Teaching Assistants/Lab Demonstrators/Marker-Graders and holding meetings with them; assisting in the preparation of marking schemes and coordinating the marking of course assignments and/or midterm, progress and final exams; reporting to the Department Chair or Course Instructor; and performing related duties as required by the course instructor. Qualifications emphasize postgrad or honours degree in Human Geography or equivalent, strong writing, communications, and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize deadlines. Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in or have completed a postgraduate degree or have completed a Honours Degree in Human Geography or equivalent*
- Completion of 4 full credits in Human Geography with an overall average of 75% or higher in all Human Geography courses completed or equivalent*
- Completion of GEOG 2P50 (or equivalent*) with a final grade of 75% or higher
- Demonstration of excellent writing skills
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize work and meet stipulated deadlines
- Demonstrated high level of independence, initiative and self-motivation
- Equivalency will be determined by the course instructor
