Job Summary
Course Coordinator for GEOG 1P11 - Our Environment: Landscapes, Soils, and Water. Duties include overseeing seminar/tutorial/lab sections for the course; coordinating Teaching Assistants, Lab Demonstrators, and Marker-Graders; assisting in the preparation of marking schemes and coordinating the marking of course assignments and exams; reporting to the Department Chair or Course Instructor; and performing any other related duties as required by the course instructor. Qualifications include a postgraduate degree or Honours Degree in Physical Geography or equivalent, completion of required course credits with a 75% average, successful undergraduate teaching or leadership experience, strong verbal/written communication, and the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Required Qualifications
- a) Must be enrolled in or have completed a postgraduate degree or have completed a Honours Degree in Physical Geography or equivalent
- b) Completion of 4 full credits in Physical Geography with an overall average of 75% or higher in all Physical Geography courses completed (or equivalent*)
- c) Completion of GEOG 1F91 (or equivalent*) with a final grade of 75% or higher
- d) Demonstrated successful undergraduate teaching experience or equivalent small group leadership in an undergraduate context
- e) Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- f) Ability to prioritize work and meet stipulated deadlines
