Job Summary
Courier responsible for delivering laboratory specimens, mail, and supplies between MercyOne facilities and laboratory customers. Duties include transporting items per procedures, adhering to infection control and safety policies, using courier software to track routes, ensuring temperature-sensitive materials are kept at required storage temperatures, maintaining vehicle and bag cleanliness, participating in department huddles, and supporting peers in a LEAN environment. Requires a high school degree or GED, English proficiency, and a valid driver’s license; two years of courier experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Two years’ courier experience preferred
- Valid Driver’s/Chauffeurs License
- Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to drive per Iowa state law
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire
