Job Summary
Courier and Phlebotomist duties including pickup and delivery of patient specimens, delivery of materials and supplies to internal or external AHA customers. Pickup and transport coolers of patient specimens from AHA facilities to AHA testing facilities and from lockboxes/Nursing facilities/clients. Maintain professional customer service, ensure safe operation of vehicle, follow all laws, maintain insurable license, adhere to schedules, perform vehicle checklists, and assist in periods of increased activity. Phlebotomist responsibilities include following phlebotomy procedures, proper patient identification, proper labeling and transport of specimens, and adherence to PHI policies. Travel is 100%. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and Phlebotomy Certification; valid driver’s license with a clean record; ability to work holidays/weekends; driver’s license verification and background checks as applicable. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Valid state-issued Driver License; must be at least 21 years old
- Clean driving record for last 5-years; own reliable transportation, must provide proof of required auto insurance coverage (100/300/100)
- Clean criminal history, as required for positions with direct patient care; some states require additional background checks including fingerprinting
- Phlebotomy Certification from an accredited training school or equivalent, REQUIRED
