Job Summary
Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, products, and equipment between locations and customer sites while following assigned delivery routes and schedules. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance concerns, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and traffic laws. Load, secure, and unload shipments efficiently, communicating with dispatch regarding delays or route changes. Maintain accurate transportation records and provide professional service to customers and internal teams. Work full-time hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with a salary starting at $40,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS driver's license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to operate delivery vehicles and basic material handling equipment
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to safely enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout the day
- Must be able to load and unload materials, including the use of pallet jacks or similar equipment
- Must maintain alertness and focus while driving for extended periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with adherence to delivery schedules
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving, delivery, or transportation experience
