Job Summary
Pick up and deliver water, soil, and air samples to and from the laboratory while maintaining quality, hold time, and turnaround time objectives. Prepare and deliver bottle orders to clients following SOPs, receive and stock control supplies, and perform on-site sampling events as needed. Transport samples on ice from client sites to the lab or sub-contracted facilities, unload and inspect for damage, and verify Chain of Custody documentation with client signatures. Record arrival and departure times in the courier log book, maintain vehicle maintenance records, and dispose of samples and hazardous waste according to EPA and EH&S guidelines. Work Mon-Fri 7:00am-4:00pm or 8:0am-5:00pm, driving 200-300 miles per shift. Compensation is $14-16/hour plus benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- A valid state issued driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read maps and follow directions
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
