Job Summary
Pick up and deliver medical samples, reports, and mail to all locations on the assigned Central Okanagan route with courtesy, timeliness, and accuracy. Ensure the safety and security of the vehicle while handling TDG-regulated substances, body fluids, and items weighing up to 50 pounds. Navigate city and highway conditions, including stairs and varying weather, while maintaining a clean driving abstract and punctuality. Act as a professional representative of Dynacare, adhering to strict internal deadlines and vaccination requirements. Cover Monday to Saturday shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm, including vacations and sick relief.
Required Qualifications
- Valid G driver's license with 3-year clean driving abstract
- Physically able and can lift up to 50 pounds
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial driver/courier role
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods certified
- Vaccination against COVID-19
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to walk on stairs
- Ability to get in and off a vehicle
- Ability to deal with body fluids
- Ability to deal with hot and cold weather
- Ability to drive in city and on the highway
