Job Summary
The Courier Driver is responsible for collecting and delivering parcels using a 26ft box truck, 16ft box truck, and cargo vans. Candidates should be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and must meet DOT AZ requirements to drive a commercial vehicle. Responsibilities include picking up and delivering time-sensitive samples, maintaining a daily activity log, ensuring vehicle maintenance, and being available for evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. Preferred experience includes at least one year as a courier driver, with a strong understanding of directions and GPS usage. An excellent customer service attitude and strong communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- 1 or more years as a courier driver experience is a plus
- Basic to intermediate experience using Windows operating system and Microsoft software applications
- Must be good with directions/using GPS
- Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks/deliveries
- Excellent communication skills to read, analyze, and interpret verbal and written requests and directions
- Customer centric, positive demeanor when interacting with clients and employees
- Ability to present oneself in a highly cooperative and professional manner
