Job Summary
Pick up and deliver medical samples, reports, and other mail to all locations on your assigned Central Okanagan route. Ensure all specimens are transported safely, securely, and in a courteous, timely manner while maintaining vehicle safety and handling TDG-regulated substances. Be punctual, reliable, and professional as the company representative, managing shifts Monday through Saturday from 7:00am to 6:00pm. This casual on-call role requires a valid G driver's license, ability to lift 50 pounds, and experience in a commercial driver or courier position. Starting pay is $19.50 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Valid G driver's license with 3-year clean driving abstract
- Physically able and can lift up to 50 pounds(lbs.)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial driver/courier role
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods certified
- Vaccination against COVID-19
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Must deal with all weather conditions
- Must deal with body fluids
- Must deal with hot and cold weather
- Must deal with TDG regulated substances
- Must be able to drive long hours
- Must be able to drive from/to out of town/rural locations
- Must be able to work Monday to Saturday between 7:00am – 6:00pm
- Must be able to cover vacations and sick relief
- Must be able to work weekdays and weekends
- Must be able to work in Kelowna, BC
- Must be able to work in the Central Okanagan
- Must be able to work internal deadline application by March 18, 2026 at 5pm EST
- Must be able to act as the representative of the company and be courteous, informative, and professional
- Must be able to ensure all samples are picked up as scheduled
- Must be able to deliver medical reports reliably
- Must be able to deliver other mail to all locations on assigned route
- Must be able to be responsible for the safety and security of the vehicle
- Must be able to lift and transport specimen bags, supplies and waste from different locations
- Must be able to move in and out of vehicles
- Must be able to carry items up and down on stairs
- Must be able to carry items in and out of buildings
- Must be able to walk on stairs
