Job Summary
Pick up, sort, and deliver incoming and outgoing election mail, ballots, and official correspondence between offices, polling locations, and designated drop-off sites. Transport sensitive materials while maintaining strict chain-of-custody procedures, verifying deliveries with signatures and reporting discrepancies immediately. Operate mailroom equipment including postage meters, scanners, and labeling machines to ensure accurate processing and on-time delivery. Maintain accurate records of routes and inventory movement while following all safety and confidentiality policies. A valid driver's license and clean record are required. Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and extended hours during election periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive election materials with integrity
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and extended hours during election periods
