Job Summary
County Courtroom Clerk responsible for spending a majority of time in the courtroom and recording verbatim proceedings, maintaining case information, and preparing documents for court sessions. Duties include recording proceedings, preparing journal entries, labeling exhibits, maintaining the court calendar, scheduling interpreters and transportation, and performing routine administrative support such as scheduling hearings and preparing standard documents. Requires high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of courtroom clerk experience (or equivalent), with data-entry and computer skills; typing tests may be administered during interviews. This role is based in Kearney, NE and is typically in-person.
