Job Summary
Country Sales Manager responsible for driving commercial performance within the allocated territory and leading the sales team to support customer relationships, new business development, and growth. Responsibilities include people leadership, coaching and development of the team, prospecting and engaging new clients, managing local accounts from mid-tier to lower value segments, driving pricing negotiations and contract discussions, leveraging market intelligence to inform strategy, cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless order fulfilment, and maintaining CRM discipline and forecasting accuracy. Travel across the UK is required. Requirements include a degree in business/commercial/engineering or related discipline, at least 5 years in sales within packaging (preferably glass), proven B2B sales and account management experience, strong negotiation and leadership skills, and a hunter mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Commercial, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years in Sales roles within the packaging sector (preferably glass) with proven experience in account management.
- Proven experience in B2B sales, account management, and new business development
- Strong people management skills – training, mentoring, performance management
- Excellent negotiation and commercial acumen (pricing, contracts, deals)
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies and territory plans
- Experience using CRM systems and managing pipelines/forecasts
- Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills
- Results-driven with a proactive “hunter” mindset
