Job Summary
Cultivate and secure funding opportunities across bilateral, multilateral, philanthropic, and private sector sources by building relationships with institutional donors, foundations, UN agencies, government stakeholders, and implementing partners. Provide visionary leadership to steer PSI Nigeria's direction in alignment with global mission and national health priorities while driving strategic coherence and robust risk management. Oversee program budgets, financial controls, and internal reporting to ensure compliance with donor regulations and organizational standards. Manage field office administrative policies, enforce ethical environments, and maintain safety systems for staff and assets. Lead the Senior Management Team to foster collaboration, innovation, and high performance. Embody PSI's values of Measurement, Pragmatism, Honesty, Trust, Collaboration, and Commitment. 10-25% international travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Position is only open to Nigerian candidates or those with legal right to live/work in Nigeria
- Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field
- At least 10 years of senior-level leadership experience in public health or development programs in Nigeria or similar contexts
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience
- Demonstrated work experience in similar operating environments
- Proven ability to navigate political and donor environments, engage with senior government officials, and lead high-stakes negotiations
- Strong track record in successful fundraising and managing complex donor portfolios (e.g., USAID, Gates Foundation, DFID/FCDO, Global Fund, etc.)
- Fluency in English with excellent writing skills
- Foreign language skills required depending on location
- 10-25% international travel
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field (e.g., MBA, MPA, MPH) preferred
