Job Summary
Define and execute the comprehensive go-to-market strategy for the Indonesian market while owning the country P&L and driving aggressive revenue and gross margin targets. Identify new logos to expand Verifone's footprint across acquirers, fintechs, and ISO players. Build strategic partnerships with local acquiring banks, switching networks, and major digital wallets via QRIS, alongside POS software providers and distribution partners. Hire, mentor, and scale a high-performing local team across Sales, Account Management, and Operations to foster a results-oriented culture. This role requires 10+ years of senior leadership experience in Indonesian fintech or merchant acquiring, native Bahasa fluency, and a founder-like mindset to navigate the complex local payment ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience
- 5+ years in a senior commercial leadership or general management role
- Experience within fintech
- Experience within merchant acquiring
- Experience within digital payments
- Experience within banking tech
- Experience in Indonesia
- Deep understanding of the EDC terminal ecosystem
- Deep understanding of payment gateways
- Deep understanding of card-present acquiring
- Deep understanding of QRIS
- Deep understanding of local alternative payment methods (APMs)
- An existing, strong network of relationships with local Indonesian banks
- An existing, strong network of relationships with tier-1 merchants
- An existing, strong network of relationships with major retail conglomerates
- Native-level fluency in Bahasa Indonesia
- Professional proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field
