Country Manager

Job Summary
Country Manager for Malawi leads Bridge Carbon’s in-country operations across ICS, Retail, and NbS, driving strategic direction, governance, and performance with full Malawi P&L responsibility. In collaboration with global technical teams, you will build a high-performing, in-country leadership team, oversee budgets and targets, manage government and NGO partnerships, and ensure alignment of ICS, NbS, and Retail programs with group priorities. The role requires residency in Malawi, field travel across all three business lines, and senior leadership experience in the country. Fluency in English is required; Chichewa is advantageous. Master's degree is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 8–10 years of senior leadership experience across multiple business lines
- Strong background in Malawi
- Understanding of carbon methodologies (Gold Standard, Verra VCS)
- P&L or multi-budget ownership
- Strong project and team management experience
- Fluent in English; Chichewa advantageous
- Master’s degree preferred (Business, Management, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Sustainable Development, Climate Change, or related field)
- Postgraduate qualification preferred
- Experience engaging government and managing senior teams
