Country Manager (BESS)

Job Summary
Develop and execute country-level business strategies aligned with the global ESS roadmap while identifying new market opportunities and driving expansion into utility-scale, commercial, and grid-support segments. Lead sales, business development, and key account initiatives to achieve revenue targets by building relationships with EPCs, IPPs, utilities, and government bodies. Oversee full P&L responsibilities including budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure control while ensuring operational excellence in project execution and supply chain coordination. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of national energy policies and represent the company in industry associations and regulatory discussions. Build and mentor a local team across sales, technical, and operations functions to foster a strong performance culture and drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy, Business, or related fields
- 5-10 years of experience in the ESS, renewable energy, solar, power systems, or electrical engineering industries
- Proven track record in country leadership, business development, or P&L management
- Strong understanding of ESS technologies (BESS, lithium-ion systems, hybrid solutions) and industry value chain
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in high-value technical sales
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to develop strategic plans and execute at both strategic and operational levels
- Strong leadership qualities with experience leading multicultural or cross-functional teams
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-growing and dynamic market
