Job Summary
Plan, organize and implement an instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment, guiding students toward intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth. Involves instruction and supervision of students, collaboration with staff, maintaining records, and employing varied instructional techniques to meet diverse student needs; may include co-teaching in a settings with specially designed instruction for students with disabilities, across multiple grade levels, with a focus on meeting district mission and regulatory requirements; requires post-offer screenings, year-to-year contracts, and participation in retirement system.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in field of assignment
- Valid Kentucky Teaching Certification for area and grade level of assignment
- Special Education Certification based on vacancy needs (LBD/MSD/Visually Impaired/Hearing Impaired)
