Job Summary
Country Head Medical Affairs, Canada leads Seqirus Canada’s medical affairs, developing the medical strategic plan, managing key thought-leader relationships, publishing data from corporate-sponsored trials, and providing scientific leadership across Canada. Responsibilities include medical strategy development, Phase 4 study oversight, medical affairs budget management, external network development and KOL engagement, advisory boards, medical communications and publications, collaboration with regional medical leadership, and interaction with Health Canada and provincial regulatory bodies. Leads a Canada-based medical affairs team ensuring compliant medical information services, adverse event capture, and medical copy clearance for vaccines, while supporting commercial strategy within Canada.
Required Qualifications
- MD / PhD / PharmD / DrPH or DrSc. with relevant experience in vaccinology, infectious disease epidemiology, vaccine clinical development and medical affairs
- minimum 10+ years of experience in medical affairs and scientific activities
- experience in driving medical strategy of products with strong regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, research and clinical development programs
- extensive familiarity with industry promotional codes and procedures
- knowledge of drug development processes with specific vaccine expertise
- superior technical medical knowledge of influenza vaccines and pandemic vaccines preferred
