Job Summary
The Country Finance Manager leads the Finance Team in Ethiopia, overseeing financial management for the country program while ensuring compliance with internal policies and donor regulations. Responsibilities include managing accounting, payments, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting. The successful candidate should have extensive experience in financial management, grants compliance, budget preparation, and advanced accounting skills. A strong commitment to teamwork and ethics in finance is essential. This role requires interaction with various stakeholders, capacity building, and monthly financial reporting to senior management.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of progressive financial management experience.
- BA/S or equivalent in accounting or finance is required.
- At least 4 years of experience in grants management with understanding of donor regulations.
Desired Qualifications
- At least 3 years of international experience in finance management or related field.
- Strong accounting skills and experience, including management of the general ledger, journal entries, payroll, payables and balance sheet.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel.
