Job Summary
Country Director for Lebanon responsible for leading and scaling RI’s Lebanon mission, representing RI to donors and authorities, and ensuring high-quality, multi-sector program delivery (Health and Nutrition, Education, Livelihoods, WASH). Key duties include strategic visioning, resource mobilization/fundraising, external representation with donors/government authorities, risk and security management, audit compliance, and managing national and expatriate staff. Requires proven leadership in complex settings, degree or commensurate experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and experience with USAID/ECHO/UN grants. Languages: English (required); Arabic (desirable). The role emphasizes building alliances, ensuring program quality, and sustaining funding through donor engagement in Lebanon.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant field or commensurate work experience
- Persuasive interpersonal, communication, public speaking, writing and strategic planning skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Experience implementing/ overseeing program implementation of USAID, ECHO and UN grants
- Experience in fundraising with institutional and private donors
- Leadership and mentoring skills
- Languages: English
- Arabic (Desirable)
