Job Summary
Counterparty Risk Analyst to join CPR team in Calgary or Houston. Conduct credit assessments, monitor counterparty creditworthiness, prepare credit memos, manage large portfolio, support reporting, and collaborate across Front/Middle/Back Office. Role requires strong credit judgment, energy markets knowledge, and ability to apply contractual credit provisions; hybrid work model in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce, Economics or business-related degree
- 7+ years of progressive credit risk experience in the energy industry
- Strong financial analysis skills, including ratio analysis, liquidity assessment, and credit evaluation
- Experience with regulated pipeline operations, tariff frameworks and/or related governance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Progress towards or completion of a CFA, CPA, or equivalent professional designation
- Strong communication skills, ability to convey complex risk information clearly
