Job Summary
Serve customers with quality food products and fast, friendly service while maintaining a clean and safe restaurant environment. Stock counters and display refrigerators, ensuring all display foods are merchandised attractively under appropriate hot or cold conditions. Complete cold food preparation assignments, maintain portion control, and adhere to food handling, safety, and sanitation standards. Greet customers courteously, handle currency transactions efficiently, and serve food in a neat manner. Apply knowledge of daily menu items, inform cooks of low quantities, and relay customer comments to management. Answer telephone calls, take orders, and direct calls as necessary. Report problems or discrepancies to management immediately and perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
