Job Summary
Assist customers promptly and courteously with purchases, order processing, and returns while driving electrical distribution sales and developing new and existing customer relationships. Stay informed on product knowledge including lighting, switchgear, and controls. Inform managers of safety hazards or elevated situations. Support the branch team by receiving, shipping, stocking, staging, and maintaining showroom cleanliness and organization. Perform other duties as assigned, including inside sales and branch equipment maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience
- Previous branch experience
- Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
- Electrical product knowledge and experience, including lighting, switchgear, controls, and electrical commodities
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of electrical distribution or other electrical sales environments
- Familiarity with automated order entry systems & PCs running Windows-based software
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate on all levels within internal and external groups
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good team player
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to type on a computer keyboard
- Great attitude
- Desire to improve electrical product knowledge
