Job Summary
Counter Sales Representative is part of the Platt team in Petaluma, CA, delivering prompt, courteous customer service, processing purchases and returns, assisting with stocking and showroom maintenance, and supporting branch sales in electrical distribution. The role involves developing and maintaining customer relationships, staying informed on product knowledge (electrical lighting, switchgear, controls, and related commodities), coordinating with the branch team on receiving, shipping, and inventory, and adhering to safety guidelines while performing various duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience preferred
- High School or GED - Required
- Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred
- Electrical product knowledge and experience preferred
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
