Job Summary
Counter/Inside Sales Representative at REIC Rentals in Hermiston, OR, serving as the first point of contact for customers and providing essential sales and operational support. Responsibilities include answering calls, reservations, and dispatch requests; engaging customers in person and by phone; inspecting equipment in the yard; recommending appropriate equipment based on customer needs; negotiating rental rates to maximize profitability; loading/unloading equipment; maintaining accurate rental transactions and inventory; coordinating with shop staff on repairs and rent-ready priorities; keeping the counter, showroom, and yard organized; supporting store operations including snow removal and seasonal tasks; and adhering to safety guidelines and company procedures. Fluency in Spanish is preferred. The role emphasizes customer service, sales support, equipment knowledge, and collaboration to deliver reliable rentals and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Customer service, relationship building and problem solving experience in construction, vehicle parts, fleet, equipment or related environments.
- Professional appearance with safety and customer-first attitude.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks.
- Clean driving record.
- General computer proficiency.
- Experience working in equipment rental industry and/or construction environment, and operating or working around heavy and small equipment.
