Job Summary
As Counter Sales Associate at PDI, greet walk-in customers, assess needs, and provide product recommendations across plumbing fixtures, fittings, pipes, valves, and accessories. Process sales orders, quotes, and invoices using the company’s order entry system; verify pricing and availability; balance sales-related tasks with upselling opportunities. Serve as main contact for customers and contractors at the counter, delivering friendly, professional service, resolving issues, and coordinating with warehouse to ensure timely order fulfillment. Maintain counter area safety and organization, handle cash/transactions accurately, and collaborate with sales, customer service, warehouse, and management to meet customer needs and sales targets.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or counter sales, preferably in the plumbing wholesale industry
