Counter Sales Representative- Electrical

Job Summary
Serve diverse customers at counters by providing product information, assisting with selection and application, and making stock recommendations based on inquiries. Maintain an organized counter area by keeping shelves stocked, managing promotional displays, and performing cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Process bids, sales orders, and credits while communicating lead times with vendors to ensure timely delivery. Grow sales and gross margin by utilizing vendor resources for pricing and availability data, and manage inbound and outbound communications to keep account information current. Assist customers with safely loading vehicles and pursue continuing education on products and solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Customer service experience required
- Must have experience utilizing Microsoft Office products
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working in electrical preferred
- Previous experience working in a retail or sales environment preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good sales tactics
- Ability to prioritize work based upon customer need(s)
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software
- Willingness to seek continual education regarding newly available products and solutions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and/or customer-related information
- Ability to analyze workload and establish priorities based upon customer demand and time sensitive tasks
- Ability to make sound decisions that are based upon ensuring customer satisfaction, while in accordance with Schaedler Yesco Distribution guidelines and practices
- Able and willing to collaborate with different Schaedler Yesco Distribution departments as needed to meet customer needs
