Job Summary
Assist walk-in and telephone customers with product inquiries, special requests, and pricing for fasteners, industrial hardware, tools, and maintenance supplies. Identify customer needs, clarify specifications, and locate or retrieve products while finalizing transactions and assisting with shipments. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients across transportation, heavy equipment, and machine shop industries. Promote company products to drive additional sales and maintain a clean, organized storefront. Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50lb, unloading freight, stocking shelves, and handling inventory throughout the shift. Work full-time 40 hours per week at the Boise store with a starting pay of $20 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one year of retail experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to calculate pricing and manage multiple customer needs efficiently
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Proactive and customer-focused mindset
- Lifting and moving objects up to 50lb
- Performing repetitive movements throughout the shift including but not limited to, bending, reaching, and lifting
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Unloading freight, stocking shelves, and handling inventory
- Work in an environment that requires maintaining a consistent and often fast pace including quickly retrieving orders
- Frequent use of computer/keyboard and phone work
