Job Summary
Greet and assist customers in a professional and timely manner while helping them select products, answer questions, and process sales transactions, returns, and payments accurately. Support daily operations by receiving and stocking merchandise, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring sales floor organization. Communicate product availability, lead times, and customer feedback to management while collaborating with yard, warehouse, and delivery teams for accurate order fulfillment. Maintain knowledge of products, pricing, and promotions while adhering to safety standards and loss prevention practices. Work in a fast-paced retail and warehouse environment requiring physical stamina and multitasking skills.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn POS and inventory systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Experience in retail, counter sales, or customer service roles
- Familiarity with building materials or construction products
- Experience with POS systems or order entry
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist customers throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and move materials (up to 50–60 lbs as needed)
- Ability to perform work in a retail/store and warehouse environment
- Comfortability with exposure to varying temperatures and materials
- Ability to work extended hours, including weekends, if required based on business needs
