Job Summary
Greet customers in-store and via phone, providing HVAC/R product information, technical support, and special ordering while resolving disputes and maintaining showroom cleanliness. Assist with system troubleshooting, recommend alternative products, and coordinate cross-branch inventory to meet customer needs. Process transactions, manage cash drawers, create quotes, and handle returns using point-of-sale systems and catalogs. Maintain general knowledge of HVAC/R fundamentals, communicate sales leads to outside staff, and follow pricing structures to achieve store profitability. Perform warehouse duties including receiving, shipping, and forklift operation as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 1+ years of related experience and/or training in a wholesale/retail environment
- equivalent combination of education and experience

- General knowledge of HVAC/R products, concepts, and the industry as a whole
- ability to learn on the job
- Demonstrated understanding and application of effective customer service techniques
- ability to run a point-of-sale terminal
- ability to research HVAC/R items

- Proficiency with computers to look up and cross-reference parts/equipment
- capacity to learn new software
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Skill in operation of power equipment, including forklift
- ability to learn on the job (forklift)
- Ability to work independently and with teams
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, manage, and prioritize multiple projects while working under pressure
- Displays a sense of urgency when needed
